For an additional $1 per play, you can increase your non-jackpot Mega Millions winnings up to four times the original amount of the prize. All eligible prizes can be increased two, three, or four times. With Megaplier, the prize for matching 5 of 5 white balls automatically increases to $1 million. It's a little addition that could mean a lot. A whole lot.
How does it work?
Before the Tuesday and Friday night Mega Millions drawings, a Megaplier number between 2 and 4 is randomly selected. If you added Megaplier to your ticket and win a prize from the drawing for which it is valid, you've just increased your prize by the number selected before the drawing. It's that easy.
We don't call it the "Megaplier" for nothing.
Let's say you purchased a $1 Mega Millions ticket and added Megaplier for another $1. If you win a $150 prize and the randomly selected Megaplier number is 3, you've actually won $450! So Megaply your play for a chance to Megaply your prize.
