Rhonda Townsend of Deer Lodge has claimed a $10,000 prize on a Scratch game called Mystery Word Crossword. Rhonda bought her winning ticket at the Town Pump in Deer Lodge.

Rhonda and her family claimed their winning ticket at Montana Lottery’s headquarters in Helena. The family plays all of the games the Lottery has to offer but their favorite games are the crosswords because they last the longest. When the family visited the headquarters they thought that they only won $1,000 but after further observation, and with the help of the Lottery’s head of security, they soon realized the ticket was worth ten times they originally thought!

Although they had no official plans on how they plan on spending their winnings, they said they planned on using some of the winnings to purchase a new house and maybe take a vacation.
