- Completing a Play Slip:

- If you have a favorite set of ten numbers, complete a 10 SPOT play slip and give it to your Lotto retailer.
- Use a pen or pencil in any color other than red.
- Select ten numbers from 1 through 80 on the first panel of the play slip.
- Mark QUICK PICK if you want the computer to randomly select some or all of the numbers for you (SAVE TIME: If you want only Quick Pick numbers, simply tell the clerk. You won’t have to complete a play slip!)
- You can purchase one, two, three, four or five sets of numbers on a play slip. Each play is $1.
- You can play the same set(s) of numbers for up to 28 consecutive draws. If you want more than one draw, mark the number of draws in the DRAWS section of the play slip.
- Reading your ticket
-
- Look for the dollar amount you're playing on the ticket across from the word Total.
- Your ten numbers appear above your ticket sales amount, in two rows.
- The top of your ticket will show the beginning drawing, either Midday or Evening, with the starting and ending dates. It will also say "Ticket Valid for XX Drawings."
- How you win
-
- Compare each set of your ten numbers individually to the official 20 numbers drawn by the Lottery. Multiple sets of numbers cannot be combined to win a prize.
- You can check your tickets using a Ticket Checker or you can ask your Lottery retailer to check your ticket using the Lottery terminal. Always sign your ticket before giving it to a Lottery retailer.
- You win $25,000 for matching ten of the twenty numbers. You also win for matching 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 or NONE of the numbers drawn. See odds and payouts here.
- Claiming your prize

- Immediately sign the back of your ticket to establish ownership.
- Collect prizes up to $599 at any Montana Lottery retailer.
- Collect the Top Prize, or any prize of $600 or more at Montana Lottery Headquarters.
- You may also claim any prize by mail.
- You can download and print a claim form to use when claiming a prize by mail.
PLEASE NOTE: All prizes must be claimed within six months of the drawing for which your play was eligible. If your ticket is for more than one draw (a multi-draw ticket) and you are claiming a prize before the final draw on your ticket, your retailer will keep your original ticket and give you an EXCHANGE TICKET. Your Exchange Ticket will contain the same 10 Spots numbers and will be valid for any remaining draws.
- The fine print

- The maximum payout on a single drawing for the Top Prize is $100,000. If four people match ten of twenty numbers drawn, each player will win $25,000. If more than four players match ten of twenty numbers, $100,000 will be divided equally among all winners.
